‘Bundle of Nerves’ Beatrice Miller voted off ‘X Factor’; Arin Ray also sent home
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Her ballcap read "Popular."
But for young Beatrice Miller, it probably should have read "Nervous."
The 13-year-old teenage singer was a bundle of nerves when she had to sing for her life on "The X-Factor" Thursday night and it showed.
Beatrice was in tears when she found out she had to sing-off against CeCe Frye to avoid joining Arin Ray as the second person voted off last night.
And she hadn't really pulled herself back together before it was time to perform.
CeCe nailed her version of "Because of You" before Beatrice gamely tried to impress the judges with "White Flag."
But her face and body language indicated she had already surrendered to the idea that she was going home. It didn't help that she had what co-host Mario Lopez called "a bad voice" because she had "a bit of a cold."
In the end, three of the four judges voted to oust her with Simon Cowell saying he thought the competition had become "a bit too much" for her. Beatrice sobbed and tearfully apologized to her sisters for letting them down.
