'Up All Night' cast celebrate full season pickup
“Up All Night” will be keeping us up – and laughing – for an entire season.
The new comedy series, which stars Christina Applegate and Will Arnett as new parents struggling to maintain their hip and cool lifestyle, has been picked up for a full season order.
Airing Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV Two, “Up All Night” also stars Maya Rudolph as talk show host and life of the party, Ava. The 39-year-old actress, who has appeared in such movies as “Bridesmaids” and "Friends With Kids," recently told etalk she and the rest of the cast are thrilled with the news.
“I think they celebrated with an ice cream truck. I celebrated by just sending everyone text messages saying congratulations to us,” said Rudolph.
She also said she loves playing a character who is “a little abnormal” and working with her fellow cast mates.
“I just think Christina and Will are so incredibly great and I love them together. They’ve actually created something instantly that’s lovable and funny, their timing together is really amazing.”
Meanwhile, CTV’s #1 new comedy series “Whitney,” which airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET., has also been picked up for a full season order.
The show stars Whitney Cummings and Chris D’Elia as a happily dating couple resisting the societal pressure of getting married.
