Ennis Esmer busts a move (and drops his towel) on 'The Listener'
In this week’s episode of “The Listener,” Oz, played by Ennis Esmer, lets it all hang out . . . literally.
The episode, titled “Curtain Call,” features guest star Fefe Dobson playing a pop star named Jade whose life is in jeopardy and in need of protection from telepath and IIB consultant Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik).
But things get awkward when Toby brings Jade back to his loft, only to find Oz, who has been staying with Toby because his apartment flooded, dancing in a towel to one of the singer’s songs.
“The idea is my character pretends he doesn’t like her music because it (sounds like) stuff for teenage girls, and it’s revealed in a scene where I’m dancing around to her music on my MP3 player and she walks in. I’m petrified and kind of in awe,” Esmer tells CTV.ca.
“And something happens.”
That something is his towel dropping to the floor, resulting in a very embarrassed (and exposed) Oz.

"I thought if I overate just enough in my normal life then no one would ever expect me to be shirtless or half-naked on camera but for some reason, this is the third or fourth time I’ve been semi-naked on camera,” says Esmer.
He insists that even though he enjoys busting out a dance move or two, it wasn’t his idea to do the scene.
“My idea? I want people to keep watching the show,” he says with a laugh.
But Esmer adds filming the scene wasn’t nearly as awkward as it looks.
“I made everyone else go in half naked, too,” he jokes. “No, it was totally fine. Fefe was a sweetheart. I think she even wore a blindfold that day.”
