Lauren Lee Smith

US television audiences first discovered Lauren Lee Smith when she was cast as a series regular on the hit  drama series The L Word, which was filmed in her hometown of Vancouver. Smith seamlessly transitioned to films by co-starring in Terry Zwigoff’s film Art School Confidential opposite Max Minghella, and from there co-starred as Casey Affleck’s partner in The Last Kiss, directed by Tony Goldwyn. Most notably, Smith received much praise and attention for her performance as an outgoing and very sexual woman in the independent award-winning film directed by Clement Virgo, Lie With Me, in which she had the leading role.

Things have yet to slow down as Lauren Lee Smith is quickly establishing herself as one of Hollywood's newest rising stars. In 2009, Smith worked aside Laurence Fishburne as ‘CSI Riley Adams’ on Season 9 of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. 2009 also saw Smith at Sundance appearing in Sandra Nettlebeck’s Helen starring Ashley Judd – which Smith won a LEO Award for. To stir things up a little, the tail end of 2009 had Smith spending three months in Germany filming Philip Kadelbeck’s epic period piece, Hindenburg.

In 2010, Smith started the year filming Terry Miles’ independent feature, A Night for Dying Tigers, reuniting her with L Word co-star Jennifer Beals and co-starring with fellow Vancouver native Gil Bellows, Kathleen Robertson and Tygh Runyan.

Smith also stars in Ken Finkleman’s upcoming comedy series Good Dog, which will premiere in spring 2011. She will be spending the upcoming year living in Toronto while she works on season two of The Listener for CTV.

Sergeant Michelle McCluskey

Sergeant Michelle McCluskey is the perfect candidate for the Integrated Investigative Bureau (IIB). Thorough and conscientious, she may only be in her early thirties, but she earned her promotion to sergeant through her hard work solving complicated cases. After graduating at the top of her class she was recruited into the IIB’s intelligence unit. Now working with Corporal Dev Clark, McCluskey’s suspicions about Toby lead to grudging skepticism about his telepathic abilities and eventual trust as she makes him a confidential informant. She might be able to read situations extremely well, but it never hurts to have an ally who can read minds.
