It looks like the New Year could bring some trouble for Sheldon on “The Big Bang Theory.”

When the hit show returns tonight at 8/7C on CTV, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is accused of sexual harassment.

In the episode, titled “Egg Salad Equivalency,” Sheldon tries to talk to his assistant Alex (Margo Harshman) about her advances towards Leonard (Johnny Galecki), but his actions instead land him, as well as his friends, in hot water with the university’s Human Resources Department.

Alex’s interest in Leonard could also stir up some jealousy for Leonard’s girlfriend Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar), who says he has been “flirting” with Alex for weeks.

“Sheldon’s assistant asked me on a date last night,” Leonard says, during a preview released for the episode.

“How could you do that to me? You know I’ve been working it with Alex for weeks,” replies Raj.

But when Leonard points out that Raj is hardly “working it,” considering he can’t even talk to her, Raj says “he talks with his eyes.”

It sounds like everyone could use some help with sending out signals.

The episode also stars Regina King of “Southland” fame as the university director tasked with getting to the bottom of the sexual harassment claims.
