Song: Ashes
Artist: Andy Brown

Describe your band and/or music in five words or less:
Folk rock.

What was the first album you ever owned?
Green Day's "Dookie." Still one of my favourites.

If you weren’t in a band, what would you be doing instead?
I love the music industry in general, so if I wasn’t performing, I could see myself on the production side of things. Or cooking. I love cooking.

If you could be reincarnated, what would you come back as?
A cat. Sometimes I see a cat and I honestly get jealous about how calm and simple its life is. On that note, I would be a fat cat.

Have you ever seen a ghost on tour?
I’ve never seen a ghost on tour, but have seen plenty of weird things in the sky on long overnight drives.

Do you believe in ghosts?
Oh yeah, ghosts are real. I definitely believe in all of that supernatural stuff. I find it comforting to believe that there is an "otherside."

Which three people, living or dead, would you have dinner with?
Dave Matthews, Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney.

Who is your favourite ghost?
The Ghost of Christmas Past (my favourite Christmas movie!)

Do you have any pre-performance rituals or superstitions?
Well, lately I have been singing a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s "Make You Love Me" before each show. It’s my favorite song in the world right now and really helps get me focused on the type of songwriter I want to be, and the job I need to do when I hit that stage.

What is your favorite place to be in the whole world and why?
Anywhere that I am performing. It’s the only time I truly feel like myself, and where I don’t have a worry in the world.

Song: Understand
Artist: Essie Jain

What was the inspiration for the song that appears on the show?
To be understood for who you really are, amidst the complex world we live in. To be heard, seen, as your truest self, and revealed to others as clear as the day.

Describe your band and/or music in five words or less.
Light, shadow, earth, connection, spirit.

What was the first album you ever owned?
The Police's "Greatest Hits."

If you weren’t in a band, what would you be doing instead?
I'd be a herbalist.

If you could be reincarnated, what would you come back as?
Frank Sinatra.

Have you ever seen a ghost on tour?  Do you believe in them?
I've never met a ghost in person, but I'm certainly open to the experience.

Which three people, living or dead, would you have dinner with?
Roald Dahl, Bhagavan Das, Edward Hopper.

Who is your favourite ghost?
"Jamie" played by Alan Rickman in the film, "Truly Madly Deeply."

Do you have any pre-performance rituals or superstitions?
I'm always very calm before a performance, and then I let the spirit move me.

What is your favoruite place to be in the whole world and why?
Home, with family. Being with the people and the objects that know you best.
