If you thought the villains of “Once Upon A Time” were bad enough on their own, just wait until “the masters of evil” join forces.

In a short preview released by the network for the show’s winter finale, airing Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on CTV, we see Cora, Captain Hook, Regina and Mr. Gold come together for a “devastating act of vengeance.”

We’re not sure exactly what this will mean for Emma and Snow, who are trapped in Fairytale Land, but we do see them, along with Aurora and Mulan, behind bars in a cave, after being trapped by Cora and Hook.

“The time for making deals is done,” Hook says to Emma.

And while Hook has been working solely with Cora, it looks like the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when her daughter Regina (as the Evil Queen) takes a turn, telling him things are about to change radically.

Not all hope is lost though as we see Emma fighting Captain Hook in Fairytale Land and as she knocks him down, she yells to Snow: “Now let’s go home!”

Meanwhile back in Storybrook, Regina and Gold are cooking up something evil of their own in what appears to be an attempt to bring Emma and Snow home.

But as the green-tinged magic potion swirls in the wishing well, Henry shouts, “You’re going to kill them” to which Gold replies, “No one can survive this.”

Will Gold, who is trying to prevent Cora from coming to Storybrooke to protect Belle, and Regina, who wants to bring Henry’s mother and grandmother home,  really be able to bring them back without harm? Or will their spell banish them there for good?

And what will happen to David, who is still trapped in the fiery dream world with no hope of getting out until he gets a true love’s kiss from Snow White?

Happily ever after doesn’t seem like it’s happening any time soon.

The winter finale of “Once Upon a Time” airs Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on CTV. Full episodes are also available online at CTV.ca.
