A lot of dancers dream about sharing the stage with Beyoncé.

But very few actually get to see their dream realized. “So You Think You Can Dance Canada” finalist Kim Gingras, who will be a backup dancer for Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime show, is an exception.

Six years ago, Gingras decided to attend an open call audition for Beyoncé’s world tour. She took an eight-hour bus from Montreal to New York City, waited in line and danced her heart out.

She didn’t book that gig, but she continued training and performing, making the Top 10 of So You Think You Can Dance Canada’s second season (where she declared dancing for

Beyoncé as her ultimate dance gig) and then moved down to L.A. to dance for pop icons including Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull and The Wanted.

And then in January 2013, almost exactly six years from that first Beyoncé audition, Gingras landed in New Orleans to begin rehearsing as a backup dancer for Beyoncé’s halftime show.

Dancing. For Beyoncé. At the Super Bowl. For a world-wide audience of a billion people. (Yes, that is billion with a B).

Details about the show itself are tightly guarded, but there is a sneak peek of the first day of rehearsals up on YouTube (and yup, that red-head is Gingras!)

Talk about dreams coming true.

The 47th Super Bowl airs Sunday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. ET on CTV.
