Jepsen, Bieber up for album of the year at Juno Awards
TORONTO -- Carly Rae Jepsen, Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Hedley and Marianas Trench will compete for album of the year at this year's Juno Awards.
The nominations are being announced this morning at a news conference in Toronto.
Jepsen's uber-infectious single "Call Me Maybe" is also up for single of the year, as is Hedley's "Kiss You Inside Out."
Jepsen, who was recently nominated for two Grammy Awards, is also up for artist of the year. She'll face off against Deadmau5, Bieber, Leonard Cohen and Johnny Reid.
CTV will broadcast the Juno ceremony from Regina's Brandt Centre on April 21.
Eleven-time Juno winner Michael Buble will host.
Eight-time Juno winner k.d. lang will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the gala.
Last year's Juno bash was held in Ottawa, where Feist and the Sheepdogs led with three trophies apiece.
