In a recent episode of “Grimm,” Blutbad Monroe got very close to finding out that the mysterious man who awoke Juliette from her coma was actually Captain Renard.

And in tonight’s episode, “To Protect and Serve Man,” Monroe finds himself involved in a situation he never saw coming at the spice shop.

Does this mean Capt. Renard makes a return trip to the shop and Monroe figures out he is the one who has a hold on Juliette? And will Nick find out his girlfriend is under the spell of his boss?

“I don’t really know (how it’s all going to play out),” Silas Weir Mitchell, who plays Monroe, tells CTV.ca. “(The show) is definitely going to follow that path though. It’s a good story that I think they’re going to roll with.”

Renard first visited the spice shop in a recent episode called “The Other Side.” He came in asking Monroe, who is looking after the shop while Rosalee is out of town, for something that will cure “obsessive behaviour.”

He explained he had been experiencing these feelings for someone ever since he kissed “her.”

Monroe said the only way to take care of the emotional side of the behaviour is to bring in the object of his affection, which unbeknownst to Monroe is Juliette. If left untreated, the condition could be downright dangerous, added Monroe.

Not only was it a pivotal moment in the storyline, but Mitchell says it was also a great moment for him and fellow actor Sasha Roiz (Renard), as it was the first scene they had ever done together.

“He’s great. I really like Sasha’s work. He’s very still and direct and we had a really good time,” Mitchell says.

“It was really fun to see what these two people were like in the same room because they are two different energies in the show – Monroe and the Captain. Neither of us knew (how it would go).”

“Grimm” airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on CTV. Full episodes are also available online at CTV.ca.
