Nick and Renard to have explosive ‘kerfuffle’ when ‘Grimm’ returns
As promised to CTV.ca by actor Sasha Roiz , everything did indeed ‘come to a head’ on the fall finale of “Grimm.” And when the hit show returns March 8, it looks like things are going to be even more, well, grim.
Now that Nick (David Giuntoli) knows his girlfriend Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) has feelings for another man, and that man is none other than his boss, Capt. Renard (Roiz), things are about to get ugly, according to a short preview released by the network.
“We have a lot to talk about,” Renard says to Nick, when the two finally come face to face.
“Let’s start with this,” replies Nick, as he punches him in the face.
During a panel interview at the Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press tour Sunday, Roiz told reporters he was happy he and Giuntoli finally get to have a confrontation.
“It's going to be a powder keg. It's a lot of fun to work with David on a whole other level now that he's in the know,” Roiz said, according to a report on Zap2it.com.
“It finally all comes to a big, angry kerfuffle, to resurrect a word," added Giuntoli. "It comes to blows. He has a bit of a height advantage on me, but I had a rage advantage."
The episode preview also shows Nick finding out that Renard is a royal (he discovered ex-Hexenbiest Adalind was one during the mid-season finale), which could complicate things even further.
“If he is who I think he is, he’s been playing me for a long time,” Nick tells Hank (Russell Hornsby) during the preview.
Renard also now knows the location of Aunt Marie’s trailer and is desperately searching for the coveted key, which Nick has already removed in order to keep it safe.
The actors also teased at the TCA tour that the episode includes a very intense bedroom scene between Renard and Juliette.
“It required a stunt coordinator and hours of rehearsal, which 'Grimm' has not yet done,” Tulloch told reporters, “which is really, really fun and crazy."
Rosalee (Bree Turner) also returns to Portland after caring for her sick aunt and it looks like not a moment too soon.
"I do go back to Portland just in time in regards to Juliette's condition," says Turner, adding that things will also continue to heat up between Rosalee and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell).
"Monroe and Rosalee are snuggling into the spice shop," said Mitchell.
