Cliffhangers and lives in jeopardy: Will it be a 'Grimm' ending for the show's season finale?
Shocking cliffhangers and lives in jeopardy: Will it be a ‘Grimm’ ending for the show’s season one finale?
In a short preview released for the episode, which airs Friday at 9/8C on CTV, we see Nick (David Giuntoli) finally telling his girlfriend Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) the truth about being a Grimm.
“My ancestors were sort of like hunters,” he explains, as he shows her some of the weapons in his trailer.
Nick later says to Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell): “I showed her everything, I told her everything.”
But it doesn’t sound like Juliette takes the news too well.
“You’re really scaring me!” she screams, as the two stand in the pouring rain.
“I just want you to know the truth,” he replies.
It looks like Juliette’s life also hangs in the balance after being scratched by a mysterious cat, brought into the vet by Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee), who also happens to be a vicious Hexenbiest.
“That’s actually not so good,” says Monroe, as he sees Juliette lying listlessly on the couch.
The episode, will also feature a mysterious “woman in black,” played by guest star Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, who will get in the way of Nick finding the elusive gold coins he’s been searching for, for most of the season.
“There are two cliffhangers going on,” Reggie Lee, who plays Sgt. Wu, told CTV.ca in a recent conference call. “I think what (the show) essentially wanted to do was close in on Nick’s world, and you know, the people around him – the people closest to him.”
Russell Hornsby, who plays Nick’s partner Hank Griffin, added that Nick is going to have to make a choice.
“I think he’s getting closer to having to make a decision as to how he’s going to interact with Juliette and Hank, and sort of deal with these two worlds – the Grimm world and the police procedural world,” said Hornsby, during the call.
“And so, we’re left with a wonderful cliffhanger where some lives are in the balance.”
