Bree Turner to become series regular on 'Grimm'
It looks like Monroe will be spending a lot more time at the spice shop.
Bree Turner, who plays shop owner and Fuchsbau Rosalee Calvert, is moving from recurring guest star to series regular on “Grimm” as the show heads into season two, according to reports from TVLine.
Rosalee first appeared on an episode titled “Island of Dreams,” after arriving in town when her brother Freddy, who owned a spice shop, was murdered.
After the guys who killed her brother were caught, Rosalee, who has admitted to having a shady past, decided to stay in town and take over his shop.
The potion-filled shop (reminiscent of Giles’ magic shop on “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) has now become a regular haunt for Det. Nick Burckhardt (David Giuntoli) and our favourite Blutbad, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) as they enlist Rosalee’s help for everything from curing Nick’s partner Hank (Russell Hornsby) from a love potion to killing off Hexenbiests. Monroe, who seems to be developing a crush on the spice shopkeeper, doesn’t seem to mind a bit.
Here at CTV.ca, we couldn’t be more excited that Turner, who has appeared in everything from “American Pie 2” and “The Ugly Truth” to CTV’s “The Mentalist,” will be staying on “Grimm” as we love the spice-y romance heating up between Rosalee and Monroe.
We’re not sure what happens when a Blutbad falls in love with a Fuchsbau but one thing’s for certain, Rosalee didn’t have to concoct any special love potion to get Monroe to fall for her.
'Grimm' airs Fridays at 9/8C on CTV. Full episodes are also available online at CTV.ca.
