Life has moved on for the Seattle Grace docs since the horrific plane crash but in this week’s mid-season finale, there is more turbulence ahead.

In a preview released for the episode, titled “Run, Baby, Run,” we see a number of major life milestones about to take place – or maybe not.

Though Ben tells Miranda he’ll meet her at the altar, it looks like “booty call Bailey” might be getting cold feet.

Callie advises her that she can run if she really wants to and we later see Bailey in the limo yelling at the driver, ‘Turn the car around!’

Though Arizona, Callie and Meredith are all dolled up in red bridesmaid dresses, and Ben is waiting in his tux, is this going to be a Cristina and Burke situation all over again?

Things are also not wedded bliss for Cristina and Owen. Even though Cristina seemed shocked by Owen’s declaration to get a divorce, in this episode it’s unclear where she stands. In one scene we see her saying she wants a divorce and in another she’s surprised at how quickly the proceedings are taking place.

There is, however, still one solid couple at Seattle Grace – Derek and the newly-pregnant Meredith (as long as she can keep her nerves at bay).

Patrick Dempsey told The Hollywood Reporter that Meredith’s surprise pregnancy was a “nice turn” for the couple and something he didn’t see coming.

"Derek is much more optimistic about it than she is and very supportive," he told the site. "She is very nervous about losing the child again and her conflict is much more about, 'Will we have a full term and will she have the baby?'"

Dempsey also told The Hollywood Reporter the arrival of his sister Lizzie (played by Neve Campbell) will complicate things.

"She's coming up (to Seattle) about Derek's hand and to find out what's really going on," Dempsey said. "Shepherd has been withholding any information with the family and she questions why he's not opening up."

In another preview clip, it looks like the relationship between Meredith and Lizzie is far from sisterly, with Lizzie being resentful that Meredith hasn’t made any effort to stay in touch.

With a new baby on the way, will these two make peace for Derek’s sake? And will Derek’s hand surgery (using a graft of his sister’s nerve) be a success?

Or will it even go through it all?
