Which 'Fashion Star' designer has what it takes to win?
We’re halfway through the competition, so we thought we’d check in to see which remaining “Fashion Star” designers are getting bids from Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and H&M, and which ones need to step up their game.
Ross Bennett's progress: Week 1: Culotte – no sale (safe) Week 2: Tailored Bolero Jacket– no sale (bottom 3 - saved) Week 3: cuffed pleated Satin shorts – Macy’s Week 4: Strapless dress – no sale (safe) Week 5: Double Button Vest – Macy’s Week 6: vintage inspired lingerie – H&M Prediction: Bennett has openly said he’s targeting Saks Fifth Avenue week after week, but so far Saks is just not bidding on his designs. If Bennett can lose focus of the retailer and centre in on what makes a good high-end outfit, he may just get his wish.
