It looks like things are going from bad to worse for a very frantic Castle after his daughter Alexis was kidnapped in last week’s episode.

This week, the search for her moves beyond the U.S. and becomes a world-wide hunt and in a preview for the episode titled, “Hunt,” Alexis is seen trapped behind metal bars, her eyes terrified.

There are no more hilarious quips or playing cop in a flak jacket with “Writer” emblazoned on the back. Nope, Castle is terrified – completely and utterly terrified.

When the FBI can’t manage to find her, Castle takes matters into his own hands and ends up searching all over the cobbled stone streets of Paris and is seen walking through a forest with balaclava-ed men and a few too many automatic weapons.

Turns out Alexis’ kidnapping might be a part of a larger and more terrifying agenda.

And if that wasn’t complicated enough, things get even more intense.

“You’re a spy,” Castle is heard saying.

“I’m your father,” a voice replies.

Could his dad, who he’s never met before, be involved somehow with Alexis’ disappearance?

Check out this gallery of Castle as the very best dad on TV. And a sneak peek gallery of the episode.

“Castle” airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on CTV. Full episodes are also available online at CTV.ca.
