Most new couples hope to ring in the New Year with champagne and a kiss at midnight, but Castle and Beckett ring in 2013 with the arrival of Castle’s ex-wife.

Meredith, who is more bulldozer than ex-wife, moves in under the pretense of taking care of their daughter Alexis, who’s home with a bad case of mono.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, Beckett also moves into the loft.

Castle’s loft is big, but not that big!

Castle and Beckett can’t seem to get away from fractured relationships as a powerful divorce attorney is murdered, and Castle and Beckett  have a roster of angry ex-husbands, one of whom just might be the perpetrator.

Though the case is a doozy, it’s got nothing on the drama going down in Castle’s personal life.

“Letting your ex stay with you when you’re with someone else – that’s like throwing gasoline on fireworks,” Esposito says, shocked at Castle’s choice.

“Castle, you are on the edge of a very, very steep cliff, my friend,” Esposito adds.

A very, very steep cliff indeed!

“Castle” airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on CTV. Full episodes are also available online at
