Beckett finally landed her dream job. A job so amazing, she even left her beloved 12th Precinct in New York City to work with the Feds in Washington.

Tired of the long distance, Castle even got them an apartment in D.C.

And even though her partner, Agent McCord said Beckett was one of the best agents she’s ever worked with, the Feds learned Beckett tipped off the media to protect a witness and that was that.

Dream job, gone. Poof. Fired.

Back to the precinct it is.

At least the long distance portion of Caskett’s relationship is through!

In Episode 4, titled “Number One Fan,” Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle (Nathan Fillion) are back together again, but Beckett isn’t the hero of the episode. Instead, the desperate murder suspect who has a hostage insists on negotiating with the mystery writer himself.

Check out photos from the episode.

“She’s demanding to speak to only you,” Captain Gates (Penny Johnson Jerald) says, clearly unimpressed by the request.

“I want you to prove my innocence,” a sobbing suspect says to a very flabbergasted Castle (who is, of course, sporting his bullet proof vest emblazoned with the word, Writer).

“She’s unstable. You need to get out of there,” Beckett insists.

Cut to the suspect pointing a gun.

Cut to the units being dispatched.

Cut to the sound of a bullet.

Cut to a shot of Castle flying through glass.

Beckett might be back, but it looks like Castle might be down for the count.
