Luck was a lady for a Caledon, Ont. couple who won two major jackpots on Saturday night.
Anthony and Antonietta Marrocco's luck began during an exciting trip to Casino Rama in Orillia, Ont. where they struck it big, winning a $13,000 jackpot.
Antonietta Marrocco was so excited she told her husband she felt their luck wasn't over just yet.
"We're going to win the $37 million Lotto 6/49 Jackpot tonight!' I told Anthony at the time," she said.
Remarkably, they did.
When they got home an hour later, her husband went for a nap while she and her daughter went upstairs to check the winning lottery numbers. After doing a careful double-take, the women realized lady luck had struck twice.
The Marroccos were holding one of two jackpot winning tickets with their share working out to be $18.5 million.
Soon, Anthony was startled by his wife's screams.
"She kept screaming while she and our daughter were doing the happy dance," he told staff at the OLG prize centre.
The couple, who own a construction company, plan to share their newfound wealth with their three sons, one daughter and three grandchildren. They say they plan to pay off debts and celebrate their upcoming 25th wedding anniversary in style.
