A second mole apparently helped in the Toronto investigation of 18 individuals arrested in June on terrorism-related charges, according to a report in The Globe and Mail.
The newspaper described him as a Toronto-area resident in his late 20s, who had minor business problems but was "adept at making friends and gaining confidence."
Police accused the 18 individuals of plotting to use fertilizer bombs to attack several Ontario targets, but those allegations have yet to be proven in court.
Another mole has already identified himself as Mubin Shaikh. He claimed to be a CSIS and RCMP informant, who worked undercover for more than two years.
A source told the Globe that the second mole "just disappeared off the face of the Earth" shortly after police conducted the sweeping June raid.
