OTTAWA — Milford Bay Trout Farm Inc. is recalling its Smoked Trout Fillet because the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected product was distributed in Ontario with best before dates of February 9, 2012 and February 10, 2012, and lot code 30644-1.

Listeriosis can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea.

Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.

There are no reports of any illnesses being linked to the product.
