WASHINGTON — The White House says it has no evidence that extraterrestrial creatures exist.

The Obama administration made the unusual declaration Monday in response to a feature on its website that allows people to submit petitions that administration officials must respond to if enough people sign on.

In this case, more than 5,000 people signed a petition demanding that the White House disclose the government's knowledge of extraterrestrial beings, and more than 12,000 signed another petition seeking formal acknowledgment of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.

In response, Phil Larson of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy wrote that the U.S. government has no evidence that life exists outside Earth, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted any member of the human race.

"In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye," Larson wrote.

He did not close the door entirely, however, on a close encounter of an alien kind, noting that many scientists and mathematicians believe that, statistically speaking, odds are high that there is life somewhere among the "trillions and trillions of stars in the universe" -- although odds that humans might make contact with nonhumans are remote.

It is not the first petition to force the White House to engage on a somewhat offbeat topic since the "We the People" Web page was inaugurated in September. The White House also has been forced to explain why it cannot comment in response to a petition demanding "Try Casey Anthony in Federal Court for Lying to the FBI Investigators" (because it is a law enforcement matter).

And various petitions demanding legalization of marijuana have gathered more than 100,000 names, to which the White House argues that marijuana is associated with addiction, respiratory disease and cognitive impairment, and legalizing it would not be the answer.

The White House also has addressed topics including gay marriage and student loan debt.

When the website debuted, the White House promised to respond to any petition that offered 5,000 or more signatures within 30 days, but it now has now raised that threshold to 25,000.

and it would seem, I am sorry to say, not too many indications of intelligent life within the white house either.

The US launched Voyager 1 and 2 in 1977. They are well on their way out of our solar system. Where they end up is anyones guess. In our own right we are aliens in a universe that is vast and complex. The Voyagers are still in contact on occasion because of radioactive power cells. What else is out there, to coin a phrase, only God knows.

No Alien Life???

Are you kidding me, there is no evidence of Alien Life? I digress, and I am not sure why, but they are very angry at us humans! I don't know what we may have done to them? Next time just take a look at the some of those reckless drivers. They are usually the younger bunch of the alien form, they are green (at times even red) in the face and fumes of anger coming from their nostrils. They are also very illiterate, not knowing how to read posted speed limits. Another form of alien life I have spotted are the females of their species, but thats a whole different planet altogether.

The President is right because we, the human race are so under developed in mental capacities that we can only see our development and no space vehicles to even travel outside of our moon. That is how far we have been, the moon and back and that is a great endeavor for us as air breathing creatures. My mother was a great teacher she thought us many things i.e. her natural children and she would always caution us when we would venture out in the dark. She would say that Sasquatch does exist and lives under the ground i.e. the caves where we once lived during the great ice age. She would tell us that under the ground was a different world with different life forms. A secret, my mother told us that she was visited by a monster creature where she was living with her son and my father in the bush, she said it was the big Monsokan.

I think the idea that there is no other life in the entire Universe is ridiculous. But for those of you who are convinced that UFO's are alien driven, it's probably US or Russian black ops.

I am not surprised they don't have any evidence because folks, whether you like it or not, we are alone in the universe with a great big wonderful God who loves us. Satan however, keeps playing his tricks and lies in his effort to stop God from having us sinnless and for eternal fellowship. One of satan's tricks has been UFO's and the possiblity of alien life! Get over it, I am sure satan found it quite easy to trick our feeble minds.

No doubt there are people insisting the White House ACT on the petitions, even though it had only promised to RESPOND to them.
