There are still tickets on sale for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup -- but they'll cost you a pretty penny.

Ticket seller StubHub has some 420 tickets available for tomorrow night's showdown between the Canucks and the Boston Bruins in Vancouver.

Seats are selling from $1,600 US to $12,413. The number of tickets and the prices are fluctuating though.

StubHub spokeswoman Joellen Ferrer says they're the highest prices for a Stanley Cup ticket in the company's 10-year history.

In contrast, the average price for Game 7 of the 2009 series in Detroit between the Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins was $746 US.

StubHub had yet to see someone pay more than $10,000 for a seat near the boards for Game 7 but Ferrer says that's not out of the question.

The gold standard remains the Super Bowl where premium seats sell for $15,000.

But for those with deep pockets, Game 7 offers a chance to top that in a way -- StubHub also has two suites selling for nearly $165,000 US and $206,000 apiece.

Premier going for free

Meanwhile, B.C. Premier Christy Clark has scored two free tickets to Wednesday night's final.

Officials in the premier's office say she was given the tickets by Canucks Sports and Entertainment, the Vancouver-based company that runs the Vancouver Canucks hockey team.

Clark has been an unabashed supporter of the Canucks during their playoff drive, which now comes down to a winner-take-all final game with the Canucks facing the Boston Bruins.

She plans to attend the game with her son, Hamish.

Clark's officials say her acceptance of the free tickets by the Canucks owners was given the OK by the province's conflict of interest commissioner.

Last week, Prime Minister Stephen Harper flew to Boston on board a government jet with his daughter and Heritage Minister James Moore to watch Game 4 of the finals with tickets he'd bought with his own money.

Much as I love the Canucks, I would sooner donate the money to a charity.

total nonsense and inaccurate information.... I can't even sell my 2 seats for $4000 for the pair all day and my seats are 5 rows behind the net. Don't trust this news headline, there is lots of supply of tickets out there, which means lower prices!!

CRAZY! Do ya think maybe this was planned? 7 games generate a lot more money. Milk the public teat while the frenzy lasts.

Well, I guess the HST hasn't hurt too bad, after all, tickets for the final game are selling like hot cakes. Then there are those who will whine and complain about everything under the sun and still buy tickets to the game. Poverty doesn't seem to be all that big a problem here in BC otherwise known as Bitch and Complain. And , of course, the mini queen of mean got free tickets; go figure?! Like all the rest of these socialist politicians they fleece the public to fill the government coffers and then load up on the freebies for themselves. Sort of reminds me of the last days of the Roman Empire.

If Clark had any decency she would sell the tickets and put the money back into Social Services to help offset some of the 70 million dollars the Liberals have cut from thier budgets
