MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Prime Minister Harper says Canadians stand in "awe" of the four soldiers who died in Afghanistan Friday.

Harper made mention of the soldiers during a speech to the Ontario Federation of Hunters and Anglers in Mississauga, Ont. Saturday.

Harper said Canadians ask a lot of their military and no job is as important or as dangerous than the mission in Afghanistan.

Master Cpl. Scott Vernelli and Cpl. Tyler Crooks died Friday morning while on foot patrol in Zhari District, west of Kandahar City.

Later in the day, Trooper Jack Bouthillier and Trooper Corey Joseph Hayes died in a roadside bombing in Shah Wali Kot northeast of the city.

Their bodies are on their way home to Canada.
