CARAS and CTV today announced a revision to Sunday's telecast of The 2007 JUNO Awards. This revision follows a comprehensive review of the feedback that CARAS and CTV received today from Canada's music community.

As a result, CARAS and CTV announced that The 2007 JUNO Awards will now air from 7-9pm ET, following a live 30-minute eTalk Red Carpet special at 6:30 p.m. ET. The broadcast will now be delivered live to air across Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada, with the show being tape delayed, as in past years, and presented at the following local times:

 In Alberta - 7-9pm

In Atlantic Canada - 8 - 10 p.m. (live)

In BC/Saskatchewan/Manitoba - 9-11 p.m.

"We applaud CTV for working with us so quickly to revise our initial joint decision on the broadcast times of The JUNOS," said CARAS Chair Stephen Stohn. "Today's news follows the overwhelming feedback we received from Canada's music community and together with CTV we have arrived at this alternative broadcast plan for the eastern time zones."

"We're here to support and celebrate the music community. The artists have spoken and we've listened. This is their showcase and we're proud to be part of it," said Susanne Boyce, CTV President of Programming and Chair of the CTV Media Group.

From eTalk on CTV and MTV Live on MTV, to TSN's first-ever JUNO coverage and The CTV Broadband Network that links them all together, in the days leading up to The 2007 JUNO Awards Canadians right across the country will have a front row seat to almost every JUNO Awards event in Saskatoon this weekend.
