In a spectacular career that spans four decades, Grammy Award-winning Rod Stewart remains one of the world's most successful, acclaimed and influential artists. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1994 and the UK Hall Of Fame in 2006, he has sold over 150 million records.
His recent Top 5 album 'Still the Same...Great Rock Classics Of Our Time' debuted at Number 1 on the US Billboard charts, giving the acclaimed singer/songwriter his 35th charting LP and 4th consecutive studio album to enter the American charts in the top 2 positions.
Equally impressively, the Grammy-award winning 'Great American Songbook' series - which is the biggest on-going set of new music recordings in history - has sold sixteen million copies worldwide.
Fresh from a 65-date US tour, he has consistently been a presence in the charts since 1971's 'Every Picture Tells a Story' and the smash hit 'Maggie May' - both of which held the Number 1 spot in the U.S. and the U.K. simultaneously, a chart first.
In December 2006, Rod was honoured with a CBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours List. He was named a Commander Of The British Empire for his services to music.
