The Maritimes most comprehensive weekend news package, the CTV News Weekend is also one of the country's most highly regarded weekend news shows. This hour-long show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 6:00 p.m. across the entire CTV Atlantic network.

The newscast is not merely a cursory overview of the week's happenings. Instead, the show provides a comprehensive look at what is happening across the region throughout the weekend, and is the only newscast of its kind in the Maritimes. Included in the program is an in-depth examination of the week's hottest story, a look at the national and international stories from the day and complete coverage of sports and weather.

CTV News Weekend is anchored by one of the most familiar personalities in the Maritimes - Paul Hollingsworth. Paul graduated from Saint Mary's University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and then went on to University of King's College where he received his Bachelor of Journalism degree in 1995. Paul has been with CTV Atlantic since 1995. Paul is also CTV Atlantic's resident sports expert and is a frequent contributor to TSN, for which he has been the Atlantic correspondent since 2001. In addition to reporting duties for CTV News, Paul is the anchor and producer for CTV News Weekend.
