Todd Battis is the Atlantic Bureau Chief for CTV NATIONAL NEWS, based in Halifax. Originally from New Brunswick, he has lived and worked in most provinces in Canada. In his 20 year career, Battis has reported on everything from Royal visits, to elections, to Olympics, and he has even had a stint covering the Hollywood film industry.

Battis has covered stories across the country and including the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals and subsequent riots for CTV NATIONAL NEWS. In 2010, he reported on the death of Georgian Luger Nodar Kumaritashvili. Battis led CTV's coverage of the 2006 Robert Pickton murder trial, reported on the 2005 Michael Jackson trial, the sinking of the 'Queen of the North' ferry in B.C., the murder of four Mounties in Alberta, the Air India bombing trial, and the crash of Swiss Air Flight 111 into the Atlantic Ocean at Peggy's Cove, NS.

Prior to assuming the role of Atlantic Bureau Chief for CTV NATIONAL NEWS, Battis was the CTV NATIONAL NEWS's Vancouver Bureau Chief and before that Science Reporter with CTV NEWS. Battis has been reporter, producer, co-host, and anchor with both CTV and CBC. Battis began his career in London, Ontario. He holds degrees from Acadia University and the University of Regina.
