Acclaimed journalist Paul Workman helms CTV National News's U.S coverage from Washington. He took up this post in January of 2009.

Starting in 2007, Workman lead CTV's extensive coverage of news events in South Asia including the ongoing efforts of the Canadian troops in Afghanistan, the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and the fall of Pakistan's former President Gen. Pervez Musharraf.

Contributing more than 30 years to Canadian journalism, Workman has a wealth of experience and has covered a multitude of national and international news events. Reporting from locations throughout Canada, the U.S., Europe and Asia, Workman has covered notable news events including war in the Middle East, the revolutionary changes in Eastern Europe and the tragic death of Princess Diana. Paul Workman brings more than 30 years experience in Canadian journalism to his role as South Asia Bureau Chief for CTV National News. Based in New Delhi, Workman covers a multitude of national and international news events.

Previously, Workman was a foreign correspondent for CBC News where he covered a broad spectrum of notable news events including the conflict in Aghanistan and both wars in Iraq and their aftermath. Other career highlights include riding into Kosovo with Canadian soldiers and covering the tragic death of Princess Diana.

Workman won a Gemini in 1997 in the Best Reportage category and has been nominated six times for Gemini's for best reporting.

Workman, who studied journalism at Ryerson, is fluently bilingual and has done a great deal of documentary work over the years.
