Korean business owners to protest at legislature

TORONTO Korean small business owners say they could go under unless the Ontario government pays more attention to their concerns.
Members of the Ontario Korean Businessmen's Association will air those concerns Tuesday with a protest at the legislature.
The group is worried about rising cigarette thefts resulting from higher tobacco taxes, skyrocketing insurance rates because of those crimes, and soaring commercial hydro rates.
The association says members are frustrated and warn that many family businesses will fail if the problems remain ignored.
The protest, on the legislature's front lawn, is to start at noon.
The association represents more than 3,000 convenience store businesses throughout Ontario.
