TORONTO — Will.i.am has a feeling that Canadian director James Cameron's next project will involve the Black Eyed Peas.

In an interview with hip-hop magazine Vibe, Will.i.am said Cameron is onboard to helm a 3D concert film about the pop-rap outfit.

He said that Cameron -- who was raised near Niagara Falls, Ont. -- came up with a "dope" storyline for the movie, which will be a full-length film based around their tour activities.

"Right now we are planning our 3D tour movie and James Cameron is directing it," he told Vibe. "We have the biggest director because we are the biggest group on the planet.

"The Peas are filming it in South America. People will be able to see us in the theatre with the 3D glasses and everything."

Earlier this year, Cameron's sci-fi epic "Avatar" surpassed his own "Titanic" to become the highest-grossing movie of all time.

He announced plans earlier this year to re-release the 3D film in August.
