Meaningless distraction, this article, but it raises a question: should we judge a person on their actions at all, or just exclude the ones that prove them a jackass? It isn't the first time West has said/done something ignorant, and likely won't be the last.

Lady Gaga says it's unfair for fans to judge Kanye West

Date: Monday Sep. 28, 2009 11:55 AM ET

TORONTO — Lady Gaga says that it's unfair to judge Kanye West for his onstage confrontation with Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month.

Gaga, who's preparing to launch a North American tour with West in November, tells The Canadian Press that West made a mistake when he jumped onstage and interrupted Swift's acceptance speech.

But Gaga calls West a "pioneer in hip-hop music" and says that fans should keep in mind that West has had a major influence over all pop music.

She adds that "it's unfair to judge a person because of one thing that they said."

West and Gaga have seven Canadian dates planned on their co-headlining tour, with shows scheduled in Saskatoon, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.

Gaga, the flamboyant singer of such hits as "Poker Face" and "LoveGame," will perform on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.

Her tour dates are doomed.....nice try though! She wont see a complete boycott. Why shouldn't people judge him? The rest of us are, if we act like knobs, and he teaches KNOBS 101 !

Lady Gaga is a twit. There is no excuse for rude behaviour at any time. People should turn off of those kind of people and only support those who have real social graces.

This isn’t the first time Kanye has pulled one of these stunts and so long as we keep letting him get away with it he'll keep doing it and then give this seemingly heartfelt apology afterwards when the backlash hits...No one criticized or interrupted his time on stage when his mom passed and he gave tribute and a rater long speech in her honour and he should give the same respect to others...maybe other music artist can explain away and excuse his behaviour but I for one no longer intent to support Kanye in any way, shape or form...
