Eliminated Team Kentucky calls Rob and Amber "reality superstars"

Awestruck "Amazing Race" team David and Mary Conley may have been eliminated from the competition, but they say they're glad they got to meet their favourite reality celebrities Rob and Amber.
"It was like going and meeting the president when we were racing with them," Mary told CTV.ca.
David, a coal miner, and his wife Mary, begin their race with a trip to a church, then a flight to Puerto Montt, Chile where they encounter a roadblock. David has to jump in a tank and grab enough fish before he can pass and admits he doesn't like water -- or touching fish.
After finishing the roadblock, David and Mary head in the completely wrong direction on the way to the detour challenge, which is river rafting. Once they do arrive, all the other teams have finished. Once they travel down the river and arrive at the finish line, they are informed they are eliminated.
CTV.ca spoke with the eliminated team about their popularity at Walmart, the importance of luck in the race, and their favourite "Survivor" celebrities.
"The Amazing Race" all-star edition features teams from all 11 seasons of the show, and will undertake a 28-day, 45,000-mile trek through 28 countries to win US$1 million. It airs Sunday nights on CTV.
CTV.ca: How did it feel to be eliminated from the race a second time around?
Mary: We kind of knew when we were lost for so long that we would be eliminated. We never thought it would be that close...we just thought we were completely out, and to know we were that close was the hardest thing.
CTV.ca: Did you change your strategy at all from the last race?
Mary: Yeah this time we wanted to show the world we could race on our own, we didn't want to form a big alliance. We wanted to prove we could do it on our own.
CTV.ca: How successful do you think you were?
David: I think we did very well. Amazing race is a lot of luck, and if you can get good luck at the end of race you are doing pretty good. If you are getting bad luck, you are almost always eliminated, and that's what happened.
CTV.ca: What would you have done differently if you could?
Mary: I wouldn't have helped Charla and Mirna, as much as we did.
David: We still would have pulled them out of the mud, but we wouldn't help them in the game.
CTV.ca: What has your life been like from the first race to now?
David: We used to be in Walmart and shop for 10 minutes in and out. Now we go in and it takes 2-3 hours to go in and out and it's really overwhelming, everybody knows who we are now, we go to different states and different countries and people know you, and it's awesome, a great feeling.
CTV.ca: Do you think you were portrayed differently during this race than you were in the first?
David: No matter what happens cameras don't lie, you are who you are, I think we got a really good edit both times around so I think we did really well.
Mary: The camera can't add something to what's happened, they can only show what's happened, so you can't complain about things you really did.
CTV.ca: Who are you rooting for to win the all-star race?
David: I would like to really see Dustin and Kandice, or Rob and Amber win. We were big fans of them on Survivor, we watched them get married! They are reality superstars and it was like going and meeting the president when we were racing with them.
CTV.ca: If you were asked to do the race again, would you do it?
David: I'd jump right in, I'm up for it.
Mary: No, I don't think that I would take that opportunity away from other people who'd never done it, we would do all stars again because it was former racers, but it was really hard to leave my kids after I just left them and now to leave them again would be even harder.

Kevin and Drew
Drew took a nasty fall as the team walked out to their vehicles at the start of the race. Then it all went downhill from there.
