In the CSI: Miami episode "Felony Flight", Henry Darius, a convicted serial killer, confesses to an unsolved murder and is flown from New York to Miami to show the police exactly where he buried the body. However, as the plane flies into Miami, it crashes and Darius escapes. Now, as Darius begins a Miami killing spree, CSI: New York's Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise), who put Darius away the first time, comes to help Horatio (David Caruso) and the Miami team track down Darius before he kills again.

In the concluding CSI: New York episode, "Manhattan Manhunt", serial killer Henry Darius, who escaped after his plane crashed in Miami, travels to New York with a college student as his hostage in order to steal millions from her family's vault. Upon arriving, Darius kills a group of students in cold blood and leaves clues of his whereabouts specifically for Detective Mac Taylor. Horatio flies to New York to assist on the case, but is served with a subpoena when the newly appointed DA names him a suspect in an old murder case.
