'Trailer Park Boys' moving to the silver screen

HALIFAX The Trailer Park Boys are preparing to broaden their horizons with a move from the boob-tube to the silver screen.
Trailer Park Boys -- The Movie will begin filming in Halifax this summer, the producers announced Thursday.
The executive producer for the film will be Ivan Reitman, known for directing the comedies Stripes, Ghostbusters, Twins, Dave and Meatballs.
Motion Picture Distribution LP will release the film in the summer of 2006, and the filmmakers promise it will be "bigger, better, stronger and longer than anything seen on television! With crazier antics, better dope, stronger language.''
The hit TV series, set at the Sunnyvale Trailer Park, follows the antics of Ricky (Robb Wells), Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Bubbles (Mike Smith). It's launching its fifth season on Showcase.
