MONTREAL — Air Canada (TSX:AC.B) says it has reached a tentative agreement with its 8,600 mechanics, baggage handlers, and cargo agents.

Details of the agreement were not immediately available.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers is Air Canada's largest union.

The tentative deal comes one day after the union representing the airline's pilots called for a strike vote.

Air Canada lost $249 million last year.

A big part of it is the fact that there are predators out there and an extreme reluctance on the parents part to alllow freedom that might result in the children becoming victims.
