LAS CRUCES, N.M. — A Canadian man is facing drug charges in the United States after being arrested at a border crossing in Columbus, New Mexico.

Bengamin Wienes Wolf, 55, of Kingsville, Ontario, was reportedly stopped on Monday while trying to enter the U.S. from Mexico.

Authorities allege a drug-sniffing dog led them to 193 kilograms of marijuana hidden in the I-beams of a trailer hitched to Wolf's pickup truck.

A report in the Las Cruces Sun News alleges officers removed 64 bundles of pot from the trailer.

Wolf was turned over to U.S. Homeland Security to face charges including importation of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
