CTV's Janet Dirks says recent polls show Christy Clark is in the lead for the new B.C. leader. Why? She is viewed as charismatic and having 'raw appeal' but the B.C. Liberal Party doesn't seem to be standing by her.

VANCOUVER — The B.C. Liberal party says it's going ahead with its leadership vote tomorrow despite problems with party members getting special ID numbers they need in order to vote.

Hundreds of party members didn't get their PIN numbers in the mail even though they were sent out last week.

There were suggestions the vote might have to be delayed, but Liberal party President Mickey Patryluk says the party is confident tomorrow's vote can go ahead.

He says a phone hotline will be kept open until midnight tonight and most of the day tomorrow to allow party members to call in to get their PINs.

Liberal members will be voting online or by phone between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific Time tomorrow, with the new leader set to be announced by 6:30.

Four candidates remain in the race -- Christy Clark, George Abbott, Kevin Falcon and Mike de Jong.

I feel that if certain organs were in demand, less effort would be made to revive people. Am I being silly? Not really. I had a bad experience in hospital when my heart stopped, the doctors tried to revive me and failed. They stopped and said I was gone. I came around on my own when the nurse was giving a final BP reading of 'zero'. I heard her declare me dead! It was all I could do to shake my head but they never caught on til I was able to open my eyes. You should have seen them scramble then! I thought the nurse was going to faint. The thing is, I think we may write people off too soon when there is something of value to be gained from them.
