HALIFAX — RCMP and Halifax Animal Services have seized a pitbull that was attacking cyclists on Sunday.

Police were called to the Propect Road area after a woman was knocked off her bike and bitten on the foot.

Neighbours had to come to her assistance.

A short time later, a man and woman were charged by the same dog who bit the back tire of one of the bicycles.

When police arrived the dog was trying to get at a fourth cyclist but they were able to restrain it.
