A Mississauga man is facing charges for allegedly using the internet to lure a 13-year-old girl across the border for sex.
Police say 34-year-old Brendan MacNeil started on-line conversations with the victim, a young girl from Michigan. They say the discussions started approximately one year ago.
Police believe the conversations quickly became sexual. They allege MacNeil began sending pornographic images to the victim.
A joint investigation between Peel Regional Police and officers in Michigan caught up with the man on Tuesday as he tried to cross the border into the United States.
MacNeil is charged with luring, possession and distribution of child pornography and invitation to sexual touching.
