PASADENA, Calif. - Luke Perry's new Showtime series, Jeremiah, takes place in a raw world of the future - a world where many survivors are on the move, scrounging for whatever they can get. Shot in Vancouver, the show is physically demanding, said Perry, former star of Fox's Beverly Hills, 90210.
"We're always going to a new place. The characters are in perpetual motion, therefore we are constantly in perpetual motion," he told reporters. Perry said there are very few standing sets, with many of the scenes shot outdoors - which means dealing with many rainy days.
"It rains a lot in Vancouver," the 35-year-old actor said. "We said, when it rains, it rains, and we shoot it for rain. That's the choice that we made and that's the way we approach it. Whatever the weather, the elements throw at us, we just figure it into the ball game and keep going."
Jeremiah, which also stars Malcolm-Jamal Warner, will premiere on Sunday, before moving to a regular Friday-night time slot.

I think he was pushed to take matters into his own hands. I have a teenage son and if he was involved with a drug dealer I would be furious and try anything to save him like this father did for his daughter. Why do police often say they can't do anything until it's too late? Whether it be a drug dealer or an abusive spouse, the police can't seem to do anything until something really bad happens. In this case they could have raided the drug dealers home and arrested him. The whole town knew what was going on in that house but yet the police chose to do nothing. Release this man and give him a medal for doing the right thing by his daughter. I can't wait to see the episode on W5, I will certainly be watching this one.
