Latex gloves in hand, Elisabeth Shue heads back to Las Vegas on ‘CSI’
With the departure of Marg Helgenberger’s character Catherine Willows from the show, “CSI” is bringing in another femme fatale to fill her shoes. Actress Elisabeth Shue, recognized with a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination for 1995’s “Leaving Las Vegas”, will return to Sin City on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.
Shue will portray Julie Finlay, the newest member of the CSI forensics team. But there’s no honeymoon phase here; in fact, prepare for some friction between her and Ted Danson’s D.B. Russell. The rumour mill at Entertainment Weekly alleges that Russell fired Finlay back when they worked on another CSI team in Seattle. Not helping matters is the fact that Finlay’s arrival in Las Vegas is fresh off a stint at anger management rehab.
We predict it’ll be more than just crime scenes these characters will need to solve.
Shue, now 48, earned rave reviews for her role as a prostitute who helped a drunken Nicolas Cage get back on his feet in “Leaving Las Vegas”. She’s also well-known for her role as Marty McFly’s girlfriend in the “Back to the Future” sequels.
Don’t miss an all-new CSI Wednesday night at 10pm ET/PT on CTV.
