'Arrow' preview: Could Laurel and Oliver's lives be in danger?
Arrow is used to the bad guys coming after him, but this week on “Arrow,” Laurel is also about to find out what it’s like to be targeted.
On the episode titled “Betrayal,” airing Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET on CTV, there is a new criminal in town named Cyrus Vanch (guest star David Anders from “Once Upon a Time” and “The Vampire Diaries”), who is ready to reclaim his position as leader of the underworld after being released from prison.
“I’m trying to figure out how to get a vicious criminal back in jail and I need your help,” says Laurel over the phone (presumably to Arrow), in a preview of the episode.
But while Laurel tries to figure out how to put Vanch away, Vanch is plotting his own takedown of his biggest opponent -- Arrow.
When Laurel’s father Detective Lance makes a deadly mistake, the legal secretary finds her own life in danger as a number of Vanch’s men break into her apartment and hold a knife to her throat.
Arrow can’t come to the rescue though as he has also been captured – brought to his knees with a gun to his head, as Laurel watches.
Could our green-hooded hero and his ex-girlfriend’s lives be in danger?
We’re not sure how they’re going to get out of this one but a preview for an upcoming episode does hint at a celebration when Oliver officially opens his Starling City nightclub.
The episode, titled “The Huntress Returns,” will feature the return, of yes, the Huntress (Jessica De Gouw), who “threatens to destroy everything and everyone Ollie cares about,” according to a report on EW.com.
Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki is also set to guest star in the episode, providing some beats for the opening night party.
Let’s hope Arrow and Laurel have something to celebrate.
