Arrow might be contending with mistletoe in the mid-season finale of 'Arrow,' but he'll also have to face the Dark Archer
It’s Christmas time at the Queen household, but that doesn’t mean everything is merry and bright. In fact, things are about to get a whole lot darker in the mid-season finale of “Arrow.”
When Oliver (Stephen Amell) discovers his family stopped celebrating Christmas after his disappearance, he decides to throw a Christmas party, but in the promo of the episode, there aren’t mugs of mulled wine and tree trimming. Instead, it looks like there’s a copycat archer who is framing Arrow and wreaking havoc on Starling City.
Is it a coincidence that this “copycat” archer occurs after the arrival of the “well-dressed man” (played by John Barrowman)?
It’s not yet been confirmed, but we have a feeling the snappily dressed Malcolm Merlyn trades in his suit for a hood and transforms into DC Comics’ villain, the Dark Archer – Arrow’s rival.
“Oliver has an objective and Oliver has a vendetta, yet, in Malcolm's eye, it's like he's using this vendetta to say he's cleaning up the city of the bad and wrong people on this list,” Barrowman told TVGuide.
“I can't confirm or deny any of that, but what I will say is that one thing with Malcolm that you will be learning in the future is that he will always reveal something that will surprise you. There's never going to be a dull moment with him.”
