Canadian Jay Manuel of 'Top Model' named creative director of Sears Attitude line
TORONTO -- Canadian Jay Manuel is putting his own stamp on fashion by heading up a new collection for Sears Canada.
The "America's New Top Model" personality and "Canada's Next Top Model" host has signed on as creative director of Attitude Jay Manuel, the retailer's private label collection.
The Toronto-born fashion and beauty expert inked a multi-year deal with Sears Canada to helm the line.
Manuel will be involved in all aspects of the collection including product development and design. In addition to women's apparel, the line will include shoes, bags and accessories.
"Throughout my career I've travelled the world, working with designers and creative visionaries in the fashion business, learning the art of women's design," Manuel said in a release.
"A good fit and draping fabric was something I learned at an early age, as my grandfather was a respected tailor. The time is right to return home to Canada and bring all my worldly inspirations to a fashion line that empowers women."
Manuel's inaugural fall/winter collection will be unveiled at Toronto's LG Fashion Week on March 30.
