NEW YORK -- Ryan Seacrest says his New Year's resolution is to do something about his two left feet.

The "American Idol" host says his "significant other" is Julianne Hough -- a two-time winner on "Dancing With the Stars" -- so he has a steep hill to climb.

He notes Hough is "very good" at dancing and he says he feels "pressure to be as good as she is."

His latest bit of pressure will be something he has handled before -- New Year's Eve duties in Times Square. But when he does the gig tonight in New York City, it will be done for the first time without Dick Clark, who passed away earlier this year.

Clark originated "New Year's Rockin' Eve" four decades ago -- and gave Seacrest a shot at sharing the stage with him once his speech was slowed by a stroke. Seacrest says he will acknowledge Clark's passing -- but says he wants the evening to be "a celebration of what's to come."
