Rumours are swirling around the entertainment world that Charlie Sheen could find himself on the judges’ panel when "American Idol" returns for its 12th season.

The 46-year-old, who appears in the new sitcom "Anger Management," appearing this fall on CTV, has reportedly said that he could be interested should a panel seat become available.

'Idol' executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told TMZ about the two conditions that Sheen said must be met in order for him to consider accepting the post. According to TMZ, they are as follows:

"Condition #1.  Charlie says FX -- the network that airs his show "Anger Management" -- must sign off on an "Idol" deal ... but Jennifer Lopez proved, being on A.I. can be good for business.

Condition #2.  Charlie says the money has to be right:  "If the numbers move the needle AND 'Idol' matches 20% of my weekly salary for Autism Speaks, JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club ... then the hell with it. As we say, pour the smoke.""

"Idol," which has been a ratings dynamo since its inception in 2002, crowned Phillip Phillips as its most recent winner back in May.

Other notable names reportedly in contention for a judges’ seat include Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Fergie, Nicki Minaj, Adam Lambert, will.i.am and Jerry Lewis.
