'American Idol' winner Phillip Phillips releases debut music video
Three months removed from his "American Idol" crowning, the pride of Leesburg, Georgia, Phillip Phillips, appears ready to take the next step towards stardom.
On Thursday, Phillips released his highly-anticipated debut music video for "Home," his coronation song on "Idol," and the soundtrack for the American coverage of women’s gymnastics at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Combining the luxuries of "making it" with the small town reminders of what his life was like before "Idol," the video for "Home" shares Phillips’ journey from pawn shop worker to touring recording artist.
In a post-"Idol" conference call with CTV, Phillips spoke of the transition that can be seen in his debut video.
"I’m still adjusting; it’s pretty crazy you know? I’m not used to all this attention and stuff… I’m trying to take all of it in piece by piece, but it’s definitely different," he said.
The song has been certified Gold in the United States with over 500,000 singles sold, and could see even greater numbers in the coming weeks thanks largely to its Olympics presence.
Phillips is currently on the "American Idol LIVE!" tour, which makes its sole Canadian stop in Toronto on August 16th at the Air Canada Centre.
